Sabres want to get goalie Jhonas Enroth win tonight against Flyers
Bill Hoppe

BUFFALO – Maybe, just maybe, this will be Jhonas Enroth’s night. The Sabres have points in eight straight home games (6-0-2) entering tonight’s tilt against the Philadelphia Flyers. The backup goalie, a hard-luck loser all season, has been playing tremendously, posting a 1.97 goals-against average and .916 save percentage in his last four starts.Overall, Enroth has a 2.46 goals-against average and .916 save percentage, but a terrible 1-8-4 mark. The Sabres have scored just 17 goals in the 25-year-old’s 13 starts.

“He’s been unlucky,” Sabres center Ville Leino said this morning inside the First Niagara Center. “He’s been playing great all year. Certainly, guys are on his side here and want to give him a win here.”

Interim Sabres coach Ted Nolan added: “We have a lot of trust in both our goaltenders. Unfortunately for Jhonas, we haven’t scored too much for him. But he’s played some great games.”

Not like they score much for Miller either. Lucky for the team though, Miller has been playing like some sort of goalie mutant freak anti-tank commander.

Where I am, it's blacked out and get the Philly announcers.

I'm not 100% sure which is worse, the Philly guys (Jones especially) are homerrific.

It could be worse. At least former color analyst (1992-2006) Gary Dornhoefer is no longer there. I think his continuous whining during games is one thing that turned me off from the Flyers when I moved down here (that and the Sabres started playing them a lot in the playoffs).

Glad he left, he was ruining new-at-the time play by play announcer, Jim Jackson, who started to whine all the time too.
