Thinking I will get up right around the 4.30am, depending on what time I go to sleep. 4.30 should take me to right around the start of the 2nd. Game will end around 6ish. Go to bed, get up at 9.30am for work, then sleep again haha

Vinnie Viola wanted a logo that resembled an airborne badge, and he got it. I wanted a team that didn't suck, and here we are.

Also, it's not terrible. Now, the Miami Dolphins' awful logo that Steve Ross decided he desperately needed while running the franchise so far into the ground it's now in the earth's mantle? That's terrible.

As a seventy year old hockey fan and a Panther fan from the beginning, it is a thrill cheering on this assembled roster of skilled athletes instilled with the ‘constancy of purpose’ required to excel and succeed.

Thursday night stick a dagger in this two-headed creature and force it to limp back home. Then, slay it in its own lair surrounded by throngs of sobbing onlookers. Flex your road warrior might and return home victorious so we can bask in tandem, celebrating your remarkable achievement. The future looks bright for this band of bladed brothers. Edmonton will try their best to take the emotion out of the game. Panthers need to be ready for anything. Bobrovsky will be key in weathering the storm early on.

Dolphins and Panthers are a great case study in how two sports franchises in one market can go in completely opposite directions based entirely on the intelligence and talent of the person who owns the team.

Dolphins - formerly the winningest franchise in North American pro sports. The absolute class of the league when owned by Joe Robbie, a uniquely interesting character from a bygone era. Now, a complete dumpster fire under the inept management of one Steve Ross, a midwit whose only talent is 'my uncle was rich.' A complete wasteland, terrible; I'm not sure how people even keep supporting that team, I gave up years ago.

Panthers - formerly the worst franchise in its sport, just a complete flaming dumpster of an organization. The only real points of interest with this team for years were 'will they stay in South Florida?' and 'will our #1 pick actually sign with the team?' Now, you got an owner who actually understands how an organization should be run, you get lucky and pick the right guy in the most important management position, and suddenly we're in three straight Stanley Cup finals.


I've never been a jersey guy, the only jersey I've ever owned is an old-logo Beezer jersey, but I'll happily buy merch with the new logo. f*** it.
