We didn't have international hockey best-on-best for 9 years. If we had tournaments every 2 years, you'd be able to see each players stats in best on best. So the only thing we can look at are U18, U20 levels - quite imperfect given the time distance. Reinhart did well at the U20 level, when he was over age, but he was not a core player from 16 to 18 years old in U20. If you scale that up in age, you get what you get now, a player with limited success when he's physically matched. In the NHL, he's not physically matched, he has an edge, not in best on best.

70 pts AHL scorer arriving in the NHL and getting 30 pts. This storyline will reproduce in best on best, tons of players won't scale up.

Was at the game and I booed the American anthem. Not because I hate them I just wanted to be part of the hostile atmosphere (I know I have issues)

As for the game I thought the score line was flattering to the States. Game was very competitive minus the horrible start to the third for Finland. Saros wasnt great either. The Tkachuck bros and the overall talent worry me for Saturday but I thought the American D struggled on the forecheck and down low. Canada can easily expose this. Wish we had better goaltending though.

I haven't watched any games, but Canada has the edge at forward no? all that high end talent

The NHL would be wise to stop playing the Anthems when the season resumes if the attacks on Canada continue coming out of the once respected Whitehouse. Seeing Trump's face plastered on every TV channel all the time makes me believe I'm watching another sad attempt at a reality show. If you absolutely want anthems play the Canadian one in Canada and the US one in US markets. But the reason for playing both no longer exists.
