Marner scored the game winning goal against Sweden that kept Canada alive.
He setup the Game tying goal, that got us to OT.
He setup the Game winning goal, that won us the tournament.

Let's hope he's learned something, that he can bring to the Leafs these playoffs. He was pretty clutch in the end here, Cooper rewarded his play, he was on the ice the last minute of regulation, and on the top line for much of that last parts of the game. Now do that for us please.

Both Matthews and Marner had good games.

Marner surprised me big time cause he showed a side he's never shown before. Made some great plays beyond the assists and was noticeable even under pressure.

He's never done that for the Leafs in big games.
My views on Marner have changed somewhat. I hope he can bring that to Leafs playoff games.

That was probably one of the best tournaments I've ever watched. Great physical hockey with a lot of passion and very few penalties. IIHF should watch and learn to not call every little thing because nobody wants to watch PP hockey for half of every period.

Excellent point on the refs. Makes all the difference to the enjoyment.

This roster was built like an IIHF team and they still won

Here’s the passing of the torch.

Poor Matthews. Dominant game and multiple chances to win it and then brain cramps in overtime. You have to cut him some slack as the coach was absolutely riding him and he must have been gassed. Tough loss flr our captain but amazing win for Canada. Hopefully all three of our big guys learned something from this tournament

I criticized Binnington early on but he won us that game and it's clear some people just step up in the biggest moments.
This is why the coaches and GM's get the big bucks, everyone myself included ripped them all saying "how could you leave this goalie or that goalie off the roster" but in the end he comes thru and wins a huge game on USA home ice.

Bennett, Harley, Mitch all had very good games.
