I mean when he figured it out, he did the switch. Cooper keeps on running Cirelli out there.
They've got a group of very similar forwards. Bennett, Cirelli, Marchand, Hagel, Konecny, Stone are all basically interchangeable. I'd throw in Jarvis, but I don't really know what he's doing, like a bad version of that role

Big miss not taking a guy like Hyman who brings everything that group does and more.
 
They’d have been good, but Canada just had so many more talented players who also played heavy, physical, in your face styles (Nolan, Iginla) that it wasn’t necessary to bring guys with less of an offensive touch. It would’ve been blatant favouritism.
I remember People complaining about nepotism when Pat Quinn picked cujo over brodeur/Roy/Belfour for the 2002 Olympics.

Same thing happened when McCabe was on the Olympic team in Turin 4 years later.
