You can make the case that Marner has been Canada's best traditional winger. Because Reinhart, Stone and the rest of them have all been ass.

Would have been justified. They weren't vanilla. Tucker would have rammed somebody, Roberts would have done the same and score a goal after

They’d have been good, but Canada just had so many more talented players who also played heavy, physical, in your face styles (Nolan, Iginla) that it wasn’t necessary to bring guys with less of an offensive touch. It would’ve been blatant favouritism.

Marner hasn't been dominant but he has been pretty solid this whole tournament.

It's like points only matter.

He's made plenty of little plays. He's set up tons of guys for good chances.

I don't even get into this shit usually but he's been good. Not great ... but good.
I think this role suits him. Out of the spotlight, playing alot less.
