Johnson will most likely be on Matthews or Tavares LW since he played with Matthews last season and Hyman is out for a few weeks. So I can see Moore or Mikeyhev as the 3rd line LW. RW situation could be interesting because who knows when/if Marner signs a new contract so Tavares could have a new RW also for a bit until that's figured out. I could see lines like this when healthy:
Hyman=Tavares-Marner
Johnsson-Matthews-Nylander
Mikeyhev/Moore-Kerfoot-Kapanen
Moore/Mikeyhev-Speeza-Shore/Aberg/Petan/Wilson/5 others fighting for this spot tbh haha
Why don't we? He played it in Colorado.I see Kapanen there and everyone else is blurry.
We don't know if Spezza is playing the 4th line, and we certainly don't know if Kerfoot can play 3rd line C.

We wouldn't have traded Kadri with Kerfoot as one of the pieces coming back and not playing C for us. The only way Speeza is not the 4th line C is if Marner doesn't play and Kapanen plays RW on Tavares wing and Speeza plays 3rd line RW.
I like that third line, I am just happy Kappy is not with Matthews, they just seemed to not work well together.Kerfoot will surprise many I believe. We may end up with a very effective 3rd line, the depth we expected to have last year.
Moore - Kerfoot - Kappy on paper is a headache to opposing 3rd pairing D and also responsible in their own end, plus can win face-offs.
Speaking of face-offs, Tavares/Matthews/Kerfoot/Spezza is probably the best face-off center group in the league which is huge for a possession-based team.

Let's hope.I see Kapanen there and everyone else is blurry.

God I hope your right, but this seems a little painted rose colour.
How much C had Kerfoot played? Are you kidding me? Just because a media person pencils him in on the 3rd line doesn't mean he's going to be it.
I don't buy your Spezza logic (at all).
Also you do the Kadri deal all day because you're getting Barrie who is a very capable RHD. That deal didn't fall into place because he said "ok, but you have to include a 3rd line center".

Can honestly say for the first time in a long time I have no clue what our 3rd and 4th line is going to look like.
So many options and players that are being slept on from the Marlies i.e. Bracco. With Hyman out, and no Kadri to automatically slot into 3C, everything is really wide open.
......... of course how we look at the start of the season can and will look markedly different by the time the playoffs roll around.....
Stay tuned!

This. Mikeyhev and Moore both get top 9 spots till Hyman gets back then one stays with Kerfoot and Kappy while the other moves to the 4th line with Spezza and whoever
