[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

It’s tough when you give up a couple of breakaways, actually three, on your power play.
We know they’ve got some speedy guys but we’ve got to figure out how to make a play and hold the puck and not generate breakaways off that.
That’s going to put you behind the eight-ball right away, giving up breakaways.
- Dan Girardi

This is definitely a frustrating game, there’s no question we beat ourselves. We made some simple mistakes and I was not there to clean it up in the 1st.
We didn’t give up much but they had a few chances and as a goalie you try to battle and be there to make those saves for us to stay confident.
But I wasn’t able to come up with the saves in the 1st and it kind of set the tone for the whole game. I thought we were the better team.
- Henrik Lundqvist

We gave a team that has tremendous amount of speed in their PKers some grade-A scoring chances. They made us pay for it.
I thought for the most part 5 on 5 we played a solid game.
- Alain Vigneault

Two goals in 1:03, one by Justin Fontaine and the other by Erik Haula as the Wild take a 2-0 lead just 10:56 into the first period.

Hockey is a wonderful game. It's too bad the Rangers don't play it.

Watching The Mighty Ducks led me to watch ice hockey but I feel that the movie lied in depicting that it is a sport that is enjoyable to watch...

Going to this one, it's my first game of the season. I don't think I've ever been less excited to go to a game. At least in the past few years, if the team was going through a rough patch or were expected to lose, I always knew they'd play with passion and were a hard working and likable group.

I want this to be the game where they turn it around. Pretty please.

So.....

Do we have a chance to win this one?

Also, Rest Henke in this one - He "deserves" it..

This is going to be a win. They will play beautiful hockey.
Talbot will have a shut out. 5-0.

The Wild have been in New York since Friday. They practiced yesterday at Chelsea Piers. The Rangers had the day off. CBA mandates teams have a certain number of days off. The Rangers will have a skate at the Garden this morning and an optional tomorrow. No chance to work on the issues from the Friday game. The Leafs will come into the game tomorrow with the day off today. Back to back games for the Rangers. Three days for Christmas. They will travel to DC on the 27th to play a game that night.

6-1 loss.

Lundqvist gets pulled in the 1st with three goals against with five minutes to go in the period.

Dany Heatley bounces back and scores 3 on us, Cooke and Niederreiter with 1 each. 5-1 loss.
