I'd flip Laughton and Raffl. At the very least Laughton has a good wrist shot and Raffl would fit with Umberger and Read on the non factor line.

The SH goal was poor. Five hole seems to be a guaranteed goal in a 1 on 1 with Mason.

How is it guaranteed when he's really not let in many via five hole this season?

Raffl and Laughton should be flipped.

Benny, he allowed a screened PP goal on a 5vs3, a PP scramble goal, a SH goal on a breakaway....and saved 2 other breakaways, and allowed 1 goal that was poor.

I know, but the soft one was at a horrible time and this team is too mentally weak to recover. Sure he made some big saves, but so did Gibson. Even the breakaway goal, not sure of the stats but seems like Neuvy always stops them and that Mase 5 hole is out there for the league. He has to work on it. We have Manning on 2nd PK and PP unit, this team can't have goalies letting in stinkers

It's amazing how much of a worse team the Flyers are with Manning in the line-up.

He gave up two breakaways in the first 10 minutes then whiffed on a slow moving puck in the crease for their 2nd goal.

Carolina could catch us if we play like this

http://www.nhl.com/ice/standings.htm?season=20152016&type=LEA

This is my dilemma, yet again. They are only 5 points out of a wildcard spot - it's not inconceivable they could make the playoffs.

But then again, they are only 5 points out of 28th place...

To tank or not to tank, that is the question? I guess if they are playing Manning on the PP, we sort of have the answer - they don't have anyone else who is healthy, so it's sort of tanking while trying.

You're blowing that Perry goal way out of proportion.

The guy is a former scoring champ for a reason. He has an elite release and will find any opening. Mason needs to save that but lets not act like it was a total garbage fluke goal.

Also...A) Its not Masons fault Manning exists and B) all goalies allow stinkers from time to time

Mason made some huge saves tonight. Why are they overlooked?

Yeah, that was basically their first bad game in the month of December.
I'll just try to forget this game and hope that Streit and MDZ are back against SJ.

If we still play flat after streit and MDZ come back, then I'll be worried. We are in desperate need of a good wing to work with Giroux. I like the 2nd line now, but G's production has dropped since all he has to work with is average on each side along with suck ass manning in the back. Hak's OZ starts and manning on the PP is a call no coach should ever make.

I'm not overlooking them , but I'm also not one to say if you make some nice saves you get a pass for soft one. The game winner was a weak goal no matter who shot it. Watch Mase tilt his head back in disgust, he knew it was soft soon as it went in.

A large portion of the team were not good tonight and Mase is part of that group imo.

I don't think it's the end of the world but these games are good reminders to how bad this teams depth is & how heavily they rely on their top players.

Anaheim might not be doing too well in the standings but that's a team with good depth throughout their lineup & it showed tonight.

White has a 10 min penalty and still played almost a minute more than Laughton. He has to get sent down for his own development.

It shocks me to see how many of you in here missed the fact that his stick was checked by Rakell when he missed the clear in the crease.

so your saying Manning doesnt even have the arm strength to make sure his stick isnt lifted there in that moment ??

wether he missed the puck or allowed his stick to be lifted, either way its on him...

Worst game I've seen Giroux play, Mason could have been better and Boxcar is the worst defenseman in the league.

Otherwise, i had a blast!!

There is no dilemma.

We don't tank. But we will be sellers. Nothing has changed. We have to sell off guys for future assets. We cannot let them walk for nothing. Everything we do now, helps us win with our future D.

And again, trading off guys dies not mean we cannot replace them with equal players from within our organization. That is what having depth and a good farm team allows us to do.
