QUOTES TO NOTE:

Since that Dallas game, I think we’ve responded really well.
Getting four points in the last two nights is awesome for us.
- J.T. Miller

I was probably the worst player out there.
I think I played really bad, so it was nice to see that one go in and help the team get two points.
- Mats Zuccarello

We’re playing some pretty good hockey.
Like I mentioned before, our body of work here for the last 20-something games has been pretty good.
- Alain Vigneault

Nieves is a perfect modern day 4C and more importantly, he's been the best player on his line. He simply doesn't deserve to come out. What kind of message does that send to him from AV?

It's okay, we'll still have Vesey out there to skate in circles and then fall down and turn the puck over when he has open passing options.

Vesey should never touch the puck unless he's within 10 feet of the net.

@Pavel Buchnevich to continue our discussion:

Hayes and DD literally have less than a minute of ice time together this season. He already has established chemistry with both Fast and Grabner and positive metrics with each. Hayes scoring doesn’t concern me because he’s being used in an extremely difficult defensive role and performing well in that role. The points will come, and he’s been picking up his scoring lately. You have to factor in that for some stupid reason he isn’t getting PP time too.

I still stick by my lineup that has established, proven chemistry between those involved. DD just doesn’t fit the role he needs to play when we have a fully healthy lineup outside of being an option on the 2nd powerplay unit, but that easily gets fixed by putting Hayes there.

The lineup looks so much better with Zibanejad in it. Maybe our power play will stop sucking completely.

I feel Mika was the key to that PP success. Rangers PP has actually been exciting to watch and not groan anytime they got a PP. lol
