DECEMBER SCHEDULE:

QUOTES TO NOTE:

There’s no time to relax, you just have to keep going.
The way the league is shaping up this year, it’s going to be a tight race.
Our division is so competitive that we have to continue to push ourselves here. But it’s been a good week.
- Henrik Lundqvist

I check the standings every couple of days, but I don’t obsess over it.
I know how hard it is to make up ground or put teams away, so there is an urgency on getting points and especially against teams in the division.
- Marc Staal

I've always thought of Fast as a hardworking, two-way hockey player.
He's definitely one of our guys that plays the right way in all situations. He's a good example, and he never gives up on a play.
He'll put his body on the line to get the job done.
I'm hoping that that's going to rub off on a couple of other guys because he's a real good example.
- Alain Vigneault

Two atrocious former Thrashers starting goalies face off in the battle to maintain a .900 save percentage.

Grab some popcorn and get ready for some goals.

In regard to legacy , I’d put the Thrashers up there with the California Golden Seals, Birmingham Bulls, and Kansas City Scouts.

Will these two gems leave it all out of the table in honor of the Thrashers?

Will Danny Heatly be at the game tonight?

Gotta get two points. With this absurd schedule that's had us play like 2/3 of our games at home we gotta stockpile the points. The back half of the schedule with all the road games will be tough.

People (including me) were complaining about time between games. Now we'll be complaining about coming up for air.

The way we will pass through their d-zone coverage tonight will be Methotical.

Old lady: Ben Bishop

Damon Killian: Ben Bishop is a backup. You gotta pick a starter.

Old lady: I can pick anyone I choose. And I choose Ben Bishop!
