Typical fan.

When your team wins, the goalie was great.

When the other goalie stops 47, crickets.
No, you’re the typical fan for saying OMG WE GOT MORE SHOTS, we were better team ! Did you not watch the John Tortorella era?

A lot of posters are saying Blackwood played good. Wtf are you talking about?

How many said Blackwood was great compared with how many blamed the loss on Quinn? Get real.

One guy claims the coach caused his player to get a concussion and he thinks he's smart.

If (big if) Chytil is going to a main piece in a deal for a center (aka PLD) you’d think Gorton will be telling Quinn “hey we need to feed this guy minutes to see what we got here”

As opposed to Ryan Strome who the entire league knows is average on his best day

panarin has got too big herodress. lafresque must be taken to third/4th lining or sent to farmleagues. american/canadician high up draft cant meaning free pass to herodress. take off his herodress already and sent him back in line d mn! kakko must have over 20 min / game by now. let him dictate at pp. panarin coach must say chill out to. he too favourited and keen at puck.

sir avgard hockeyprofessor

Totally nailed it.

The entire board agrees with what was wrong tonight and who deserves to play more and who isn't effective with their ice time. Not that difficult.
The board might agree with it, but the facts disagree.

This guy gets it:
Can't get too upset about ice time when the Rangers had 50 shots. Blackwood was strong and Georgiev sucked. That's the game.

PP1 doesn't make sense anymore. Four RH shots with Kreider in front. It might've worked last year, but no longer. There's no threat on the right side. Fox is awesome as a puck mover but I don't think opponents respect his shot from back there. It's almost a sure bet that they're going to set up Panarin or Mike at the left circle, and there's nothing to convince the PKers to cheat a little to the right side.
If they’re not “buying” the right circle, maybe we can try Fox there, with Z and Panarin on the left circle and point, respectively. It’s crap but probably better than the status quo. Fox could pass every which way he wants (he’s good enough) — including maybe some slap-passes to CK in front.

To this point, mediocre might be kind.
You know Edge, I have had two posters argue with me the last two days about Strome and how he is a good hockey player. I continually dropped that image to then. They just kept responding that if DQ keeps playing Strome in the top 6 and on PP1 then that must mean something. Challenging me that I was staking my claim as being smarter than an NHL coach, as if NHL coaches never get things wrong.

Strome is not a good hockey player. The same shortcomings that have crippled him from being a prominent player in this league after his top 5 pick status, are happening today. He is just not a good hockey player. If he is not making stupid, stupid passes, he is taking lazy penalties, or missing defensive assignments.

Strome stinks.

I knew it. We lost because of DeAngelo tonight and this board just won’t ever admit it.

He certainly would have helped on 5 PPs. That’s for certain.

But over the course of a season? I just think he has issues playing defense and we don’t have any capable of covering up for him. Fantastic PP guy. Really skilled offensively. I just don’t see where he fits in long term with the likes of Trouba, Miller, Fox, Lindgren, Nils, Braden, etc.

Rangers would have been better served getting something for a guy that may be on the roster for 2 years.

Nothing against DeAngelo, honestly.

Before I said that, I said the Rangers were the better team.

Why don't you explain to everyone why you chose to ignore that.

If you have a left shot that can score from where Mika scored on the PP, you would score more goals. Would also say the same for the Draisaitl shot on the PP. Kreids should go for some of the through the legs chances, basically go Anders Lee on Super Solider serum in front of the net.

That would take the PP to another level. Buch/Kakko/Laf

You know, none of us are pilots either, but there's consensus agreement that the guy flying Kobe around made a dire mistake. Sometimes you can just tell.

When someone says every coach sucks, it's hard to take them seriously.

When they claim that a coach caused his player to get a concussion, it's embarrassing.

PP1 doesn't make sense anymore. Four RH shots with Kreider in front. It might've worked last year, but no longer. There's no threat on the right side. It's almost a sure bet that they're going to set up Panarin or Mika at the left circle, and there's nothing to convince the PKers to cheat a little to the right side. It's gotten too predictable.

I think Tony is better for pp1 than fox because of that. Tony can beat you from the point he’s smart enough and as amazing as fox is he slows everything down. Tony is the opposite he plays fast whips the puck around hard to get set as a goalie

In that same vein:

Fox is a number one defenseman who can play in every situation.

Trouba is looking more and more like a transition piece.
I will predict this. If Schneider gives the coaching staff no choice but to give him a spot in the next two to three years, Trouba will be asked for his no trade list.

If Quinn is about players being accountable, Strome should be sitting. He was horrendous. Downright disrespectful play level for the line he us on. He needs to figure it out quick because the guys behind him are showing their stuff.

No fault for PDG, but he needs to go to the 4th line. If Rooney is good for next game, he can slot into the 4C role and PDG and Gauthier. Not seeing enough from Gauthier either. Barron should be getting a look soon if he keeps looking nondescript on the ice.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but Howden has been good so far. Ride the streak. Up to the 3rd with BL and Lafreniere. On that line, Laf can do his thing. Howden and BL can grind and skate. Lafreniere can make plays with the puck and the straightforward style should help. Chytil with Kakko and Panarin should be L2 and KZB at the top.

Get JJ out of the lineup. Move Lindgren back with Fox. Miller with Trouba and Smith with DeAngelo.
