Quinn blows, it’s okay chosen. Maybe you’re friends with the guy idk. But just accept it, it’s okay. Shhhh. Go silently, shh.

Another one who doesn't understand that if management doesn't fire a bad employee, it's management's fault.

I really don’t know. Quinn is Gorton and Drury’s guy. They love him. They seem to have been completely thrilled with him so far going in to this season.

Even with my issues with him, I don’t know if it’s time to pull the plug in Quinn yet. But I have extreme worries that Quinn is going to last longer here than he should and Gorton is going to hesitate pulling the plug on him and it’s going to severely hinder the progress of our young players and the team’s transition into being contenders. A bad or miscast coach can lead to endless rebuilds like Buffalo, Florida or Edmonton no matter how much young talent you accumulate.

It's kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy. You start slow in games, play like dogshit the first 10 minutes and fall behind, you're chasing the game and having to go top-heavy and leaning on your veterans and leaders, so the kids' asses get glued to the bench.

They played like dogshit the first 10-15 minutes again. Fancy lateral passing that kept turning it over, by the time they got the puck, it was always towards the end of the shift, and they had to dump it for a line change, so there was zero forecheck pressure those 10-15 minutes. They were slow moving it out of their zone, they were losing puck battles, blah blah blah.

Major concern for Mika. It looks like he has a shoulder injury. That concern trumps everything else.

Blackwood stole the game. Sherstykin will do that a couple of times this year.

my thoughts:
Thought the team played pretty well actually. Georgiev wasn’t at the top of his game. The team missed tony tonight for sure. Be able to have 1 of him and Fox out for the entire PP is a must. Makes the team that much more dangerous. Fox was fantastic. Trouba was pretty good but he’s gotta have better situational awareness, that pinch on the Hughes goal was terrible. Hughes made a great play that kid is going to be electric, love watching him play. PDG was solid but should be a 4th liner, no more. Kakko looks likes he’s playing timid like he doesn’t want to get demoted by Quinn. Howden and Chytil were both pretty good. Quinn coaching was very questionable. Zibby getting injured was pretty bad. Strome getting so many minutes and being on the 1st PP, I don’t understand it. There are so many better options. Kakko and Chytil not being on PP2 is just plain dumb IMO. To not start shesty against arguably are biggest division rival is an asshat move. It seems like when the team falls behind by a goal or 2 early Quinn get too nervous and becomes bipolar. The constant line shuffling has got to stop at some point so our young guys can develop a little chemistry. As a whole, thought NYR was a better team. This wasn’t like the isles loss, they came to play after the first 8-10 min but jack Hughes and poor coaching are the main reasons for this loss. It happens, game breakers can steal games and georgi wasn’t sharp. That’s a bad combo. I hope zibby is ok. Shesty and Tony D should help when they are back next game. Thought Kreider looked good he was more engaged. Blackwood was very good. Devils have a pretty good young team, we’re going to be having a lot of battles with them in the upcoming years.

I took a couple of things out of the game tonight.

1. Lemieux is a gamer. I thought he made a lot of important contributions tonight.

2. Miller is coming fast. Very good sign.

3. Trouba is quickly becoming this year’s Mark Staal (even though he didn’t play as bad as some think)

4. This game was probably lost at :32 of the first period with a horrid defensive change. The Rangers had to chase the game all night.

I didn't listen to the entire press conference but I don't think the reporters asked Quinn about Mika. How is that possible? Any tweets about it?

I have no problem with the TOI. Kakko played the most minutes tonight in his three games. Laf played his average. Both played more than Howden and others. DQ leaned on his top line to chase the tying goal. It didn't work out.

Strome needs a wake up call. Him and Panarin both miss Jesper.

yeah I don't know why the don't use the bumper more often. What the hell is the point of using the 1-3-1 if you are just going to neglect the middle of the ice and continually move the puck along the perimeter.

There's no f***ing rotation to any of it either. It looks almost like it's the same players in the same spots trying to same moves the whole time.

Yup. It's what I posted just earlier. When you're chasing the game and playing from behind, the kids will get left behind.
