I wonder if they are going to play Henrik, he may be so tired from dreaming about the dump truck full of money and swimming in his room of gold coins like scrooge mcduck.

I do find it funny that someone's else's waiver wire material is a top 6 on our team.

Anyway, I'm really not holding out a huge hope for us on this one...

I feel like there hasn't been an entertaining Sabres/Rangers game since the '07 playoffs.

They had some low scoring ones that were actually pretty good. I'm pretty sure there have been some games where Miller and Lunqvuist have stood on their heads.

There was one at the tail end of the 2011-12 season that was really fun to watch, during the FES hot streak.

At MSG, IIRC. There was also Enroth's 1-0 shutout victory against Lundqvist and the Rags while Miller was injured--that was in Buffalo, and I believe it was the same season.

I'm going to get crazy here and say we win this one in a shootout, 2-1.

Stepan

Ennis

Eh, the one that Enroth started a few years back was pretty exciting. I think it was low scoring, but very back and forth. Of course, it helped that the team was trying to rally to make the playoffs...

Overall, i am not a huge fan of NYR games. I just hope tonight the guys can bring in points in some fashion. A three game point streak would be the highlight of our season, thus far.

This one feels like a Henrik shutout. New contract, free to focus on headbutting pucks into the rafters?

Meh.

Meh.

To me it feels the opposite. The king got his money and now hes gonna have a huge letdown, thus we continue to laugh about his contract for the rest of the season.

McCORMICK TO RETURN, GRIGORENKO EXCITED TO REPRESENT TEAM RUSSIA

The Buffalo Sabres haven’t played since Saturday and are ready to get back to work Thursday night.

They’ve had three strong days of practice leading up to their match against the New York Rangers at First Niagara Center at 7 p.m. and are looking forward to finally lacing up their skates again for game action.

Center Cody McCormick has missed four games with an upper-body injury, but is ready to roll against the Rangers.

Sabres interim coach Ted Nolan said that defenseman Alexander Sulzer, who has missed practice all week with an undisclosed injury, will be placed on injured reserve so that McCormick can return to the lineup.

As for our opponent: Lundqvist will start; while Dorsett (sprained wrist) and Falk (undisclosed maintenance) will be scratched, so Pyatt and Moore will draw in after sitting two games as healthy scratches.
