28 Years Later will be released in UK cinemas on 20 June, 2025.
Set 28 years after the original zombie outbreak, the film will explore life in Britain amid a "terrible plague of infected people", and see a young boy setting out to find a doctor to help his "dying mother" according to star Ralph Fiennes.

28 Years Later is scheduled to be released in the United States on June 20, 2025, by Sony Pictures Releasing. A sequel, 28 Years Later Part II: The Bone Temple, will be directed by Nia DaCosta.

I liked the first one a good bit, can't really remember the 2nd all that well, horror films have kind of fallen by the wayside for me since my daughter was born, but I might have to figure out a way to check this one out. Kind of surprised that they already have another sequel setup before this one even releases, considering how big the gap was with the 2nd and 3rd films

Can't f***ing wait. The other 2 were fantastic. Though wtf is "the bone temple"? That makes me nervous to what direction they are going.

North American release is June 20th as well.

Also i'm very confused, why is it called Part 2?? First off this is the 3rd movie, and if it was Part 2 of "28 years later" then where was 28 years later part 1?

I liked the first 2 a lot, although its been years since I've seen either one, I will probably try to rewatch them before checking this one out.

28 Years Later is the third movie, coming out in 2025. Part 2 is for the follow-up to 28 Years Later, which has already been greenlit and will be the fourth film in the franchise. I guess they didn't feel like waiting til 2304 to release "28 Decades Later"

Ohhh, ok that makes sense, the post was a little confusing.

So there is going to be four movies total, nice.

Can't wait for this, I always was disappointed we never got 28 Months Later. so happy we finally do.
I mean it SHOULD be 28 Months Later but its been like 20+ years since the first so Cillian Murphy at his age now it just makes alot more sense.

oh man I hope there's some epic scenes in this. I remember in 28 Weeks Later the opening scene when he's running towards the boat and they are just everywhere. I remember being tempted in the theater to scream RUN!

this story is just so realistic, I love how it starts off as a man made virus that animal activists break in to free unleashing the outbreak. it seems entirely possible to happen in real life.

So where are we at now? not sure if I need a spoiler for all of this, but where did Weeks end again? the kid that's immune but infected that I'm assuming can also spread by kissing was on his way to the US, and the infected are running under to Paris. so pretty much the entire world is infected for the most part

Not sure where a sequel can go, tbh. The outbreak and the immediate fallout is always the most intriguing part of a story like this. Everything after that is just different variations of Mad Max.

Personally think a prequel showing the outbreak and overrunning of UK would have been far better idea

Will still watch it when it comes out (To home media)

Didn't the infected people start to starve to death in one of the movies?

The Kipling poem was kinda fun.
