On replay, it seemed like Mac might have redirected LaCombe's shot that hit the crossbar. That's three high danger shot attempts by Mac. The first from a Cutter cross-ice pass to the side of the net for a Mac redirect, the LaCombe redirect, and the breakaway. I might have missed some of the game while making dinner.

Just rewatched it and it was even worse than I thought. Patches was way outside the dot skating right to the corner. Zero threat from there. Dumoulin was guarding the left wing. Just a horrible read from Fowler.

I think he's just this bad now unfortunately, if he wanted to go to a contender you'd think he'd play better so he actually has value to them but when you're the worst dman on probably the 2nd worst team in the NHL that's not going to land you many job opportunities.

Guess the breakaway shot and Mac didn't tip the LaCombe shot from the blueline don't count. Welp, at least Mac is in the right place a lot in this game. Need more, Mac.
