I remember being super pissed and from that point on I watched the Bulls over the Habs any time the two schedules conflicted, until the threepeat ended. Also watched all the Avs games in the playoffs, unless the Bulls were playing.

It took me until Markov was added to the team to finally have some hope.

Here
5-1 after 1 and I thought Roy would not start the 2nd. I was like...WTF is Tremblay doing?

Talk about setting an organization back? This started it.
That was part of it, but the fact that Peanut gave him away instead of getting the basic value from trading him… sigh. It could’ve at least salvaged the whole unnecessary debacle.

What a shit trade. He could’ve wiped the floor with many GM’s had he kept his cool and not just said yes to a package unworthy of a guaranteed HoF player.

Remember exactly where I was.

I was like a bitter ex over Roy for years. Give me a break I was 8 in ‘86, he was like a giant to me. Then I grew up.

The blame falls entirely on Ronald Corey

It was ridiculous.

Whole situation was bad and handled poorly by everyone. Tremblay was a moron and Roy’s ego was of control.

No one cares
I watched the game with my father and when Tremblay left him out there even with things out of hand, my father kept saying that Roy would never play another game for Montreal because of the level of disrespect shown to him and he was right.

He was cool I guess. Seems kinda like a shit person too tho at the same time. People are overly traumatized by the event tbh.

I prefer Good Vibes Caufield and Slick Nick type players. Athletes acting like primadonnas is some lame shit.
