Well Stuetzle’s got his 18th point. I know the Sens suck and his advanced stats suck, but god would it have been nice just to experience it. Laf having 18 points at this point would be a wet dream.
Just may not have been meant to be.

That and we probably would be a playoff team. It hurts not to have 2 guys getting top 6 time consistently now producing nothing on the scoreboard.

Despite all the downs, too early, way too early, to give up on Laf. He's shown flashes.

thought laf played by far the best, most involved / creating period of his season in the first with gauthier / chytil. promoting him to the zib line made him completely invisible in the second. not sure what it is, mika was playing well and involved but not actually getting any good chances of it. those two for whatever reason just dont make each other better. kakko was better there in the first and laf looked like so much better with chytil / gauthier. i'm sure its a product of quinn noticing it too and wanting to get him going putting him with top players but maybe thats not the answer. either way overall at least that was a fun period to watch

Laf just doesn't seem to be finding any chemistry with anyone here.

I know part of it could be confidence and coaching, but Laf is not, right now, a give me the puck, hungry looking player. Stuetzle is a play driver who wants it all the time. It’s impossible to compare their situations based on usage and the difference between the teams and what they’re evidently each trying to do, and it’s far too early in their careers for it to mean anything. But if there were a way to get Laf to just go out and go full throttle after the puck and say “I’m gonna be the man on this line tonight”, I’d love to see it.
