Long term, I very much doubt it as well. But in this moment, Georgiev is struggling every game.

Getting a dozen Hartford starts may be a blessing in disguise for him.

I do hope they send Georgiev down when Igor is back. Not as a punishment, but to get some games and hopefully regain his confidence. When he's on, Sasha is a very good goalie. But right now he is just mentally broke, and that needs to be fixed. He has zero confidence.

That's the way it goes sometimes. Now I love Georgiev, and it feels bad to say it, but he has not been good enough in his last starts. Kinkaid has been better. That's all it takes.

Now I hope Georgiev bounces back and gets another shot at some point, but right now he's not going to get minutes before Shestyorkin or Kinkaid. As for Hartford, I hope he would be sent there to get some minutes and maybe get his confidence back. That's what it's about with him IMO, he's just so crushed mentally right now.

Yeah, it definitely looks to be a confidence issue. Getting some starts in Hartford could be just what the doctor ordered!

the extra everything is missing. the stuff he's gotten better at is well rounded hockey player stuff but he shows very little in the way of elite shooting skating stickhandling skill stuff. it's disconcerting.
