That’s an awesome memory. People criticized me before the season started that I said the Bruins and Rangers are kinda a rivalry. I think even with these crappy divisions it has renewed a lot of that Boston and NY Rivalry. Playing a team 8 times will do that, and I’ve felt more of that rivalry. I dunno I see the Bruins and get heated, almost up there with the Islanders and Devils.

Those trips were in the 80s. The Rangers and Bruins were big rivals in the 70s after the big trade and some memorable clashes.

I was really young but they let me take a few sips of beers and I remember cheering extra hard. Great times! I would get Rangers tickets each Christmas, usually against the Caps and show up at MSG extra early to try and catch a puck from Fotiu. He would shoot pucks into the stands after warm ups.
