Bunch of Van Zants, this team. To keep the Heat references going...

The PP really just focused on trying to setup the Trouba one timer, specifically, from the absolute furthest point away from the net within the offensive zone possible.
The first power play unit is just a boring kind of bad (and it actually has had good stretches) but the second unit is an all-timer.

Igor is this teams best player (besides Fox).
And this moron coach still starts same pp unit down 4-0. play the f***ing kids.
Igor coming into this franchise is playing out the same as when henke came in. The team is shit unless he is in there giving elite goaltending to cover up all the other team issues. The only time we have been "good" for an extended period is when igor has been great.

And I hate blaming a coach for a team's issues, but the disorganization of everything njust points to quinn. It's literally just sit back and hope an elite talent does something special, otherwise it's a disorganized waste.

I also sometimes question the conditioning of this team bc they often look gassed on shifts well before the other team, although anymore that may have a lot to do with constantly chasing the puck

This season's schedule just piles on because there are no games where the opponent isn't highly familiar with the way we play.

Can you imagine if Halak played us every night. He would legit be up there with the Bernie Parents, Patrick Roy, Hasek's, Plante's of the world.

the adjustment the coach isn't making is realizing that he's gonna have to put some serious training wheels on basic structure stuff because the roster is so dead inside they can't be f***ing bothered to skate with normal pace so they get bottled up by single forecheckers on the power play

that's a problem with the roster. fire quinn anyway because at a certain point it's just not working.

Firing Quinn won’t solve quite as many problems as one would hope, but he also doesn’t have an infinite number of lives either.

So we shall see what happens.
