Why does Pasta need to go? Because you don't like him?
IDK I've watched this hockey shit a long time, and I have a hard time believing a team that is dead last in offense the past two months, dead last on the PP overall, is going to improve by trading it's only true offensive weapon in his prime age. Like Pasta or not, he still leads the NHL in shots on goal. On a team that needs to generate more shots on goal. Did he not set up two game winners last week? Quickly forgotten about apparently.
Who are you getting back from NY exactly? Is Panarin coming back? Please don't say Chris Kreider on the back-end of his career, or a Zibanejad who has fallen off the map this season with an albatross contract. Bruins have enough of those.
My take on McAvoy is this. I'm not giving him away, I'm not interest in some 3 ponies for a horse trade either. But they've tried winning with him now as the top D-man on this team how many seasons now? He's a 9.5 million dollar D-man who can't produce on the PP (1 goal, 2 assist this season so far). I'd be open to a change, the right change. But I don't think the right change is out there so it's a moot point.
