Not a good period. After they scored thought they’d turn the period around but nope.

See.. The problem is you have a coach trying to teach the same shit for 3 years now and the players still don't get it so at what point do you tell yourself..It's not the players, it's the coach!

We had two minutes of sustained pressure where we couldn’t even muster a shot.

There’s negative leadership on this team.

I don't think we were out competed. Just out coached. Been a trend against these Penguins.
 
Wish Kakko would have moved the puck to the point earlier instead of once again holding onto it for too long and getting nothing out of it.

there is no adjustment to make that fixes that unless the gameplan is to gently orbit forecheckers when they have a 3 man advantage in their own zone and intimidate them with body odor and growling but definitely not touch them in any way.

the necessary adjustment is to trade a bunch of them that do that for guys who don't do that. because you're not coaching that kind of timidity out of people.
 
That tying goal all starts with dumb f*** Quinn putting out Howden’s line after Pittsburgh ices the puck late. This coach is so f***ing braindead its incredible. Shortly after they lose the draw and possession they end up changing the line anyway. How stupid could you be as a coach?

I didn't see a deflection, maybe it did. It was a shot from the best spot you can take, sometimes goalies get beat.

And yeah, Georgie would've been roasted for that, that's my point. JJ needs to take that shot away, simple as that.

Or he moves it to the point, the Dman flicks another weak wrister that gets blocked and Pittsburgh gets another odd man rush. I actually liked what he tried instead
 
Brutal effort. I'd be pissed if I was in that room. But they'll tell each other to build on it and start making the little plays. Everyone will get a tap on the back from Kreider smiling. Zib will be emotionless in his stall. They'll sing kumbaya and get ready for the 2nd.

f***in brutal leadership on this team.
