This is an excellent point. The technology is easily adaptable to fit a fast paced game like pro hockey.

I agree with Marek & Friedman that the next step in officiating needs to be an official positioned up above the ice surface.

Cricket (yes, cricket!) has had a 'third umpire' for years. In fact, the third umpire is watching every ball bowled live from a side camera to ensure that it's a fair delivery. Imagine having competent officiating?

No matter what...I alwyas get a kick that Bruins had 3 chances and they missed all 3 on Barzal...and I am pretty sure almost all of those 3 picks are getting traded. Debrusk being the one who wants to be out and the other two are gone?

We have the exact same angle here, right? How the actual f could he see an elbow its blasphemy.

A penalty for the Leafs hitting too hard, their reputation won't allow for it. Probably caught the ref off guard and he lifted his arm in shock.

Yes but to be honest though 3rd empire in Cricket is not really comparible. 3rd umpire in cricket essentially watches every ball if it's fair, inline, out or not out. He's judges based on plays, there are no time limits in Cricket. It's out based like Baseball.

Where NHL referees are not watching if the puck went in or not, but also player to player infractions. There are so many infractions to call and manage in hockey games

Is the Winter Soldier going to switch teams again after the Leafs officially eliminate the Isles tonight?

The worst part is if we win he's going to be the first one in the parade, his fellow fans none the wiser.

Zboril is still around but he is a Group 6 UFA and is currently out for the rest of the year. He wouldn't be a bad target for depth TBH.

The idea you could have had Barzal, Connor and Chabot is just mind boggling

You could have set up your future for next 10 years with those players

Of all the places he could be, this just felt right.

IIRC he was projected to be in the top 3 before mono. One of the reasons why I loved the pick.
Lots actually had him #1 2 years prior and most had him top 3 the year before. I know I was hyped about him a year before and couldn’t believe we actually got/picked him!

If they hadn't completely flubbed on those picks, the Bruins could very well have had Chara retire on a dynasty that would have won a cup or two in that time span

Tim has come a long way. He is definitely looking like the top 10 pick he was projected to be from 2017
As a fan of the Game I always enjoy seeing these players battle through adversity to find their confidence again. Often I see them end up being stronger (mentally) from the experience.

Loved that hit he was penalized for. Leafs need guys with edge come Playoff time as you all know better than I.
