Galdarn it all to heck, great now the Islanders are going to shut us out

I can't believe the Bud's are getting shutout by the lumpy Islanders

The thread is going to be crazy once the Isles close out one of the leagues highest scoring teams shutout with no goals

Name on the front is what matters, and seeing how they handle some adversity gives the game its own level of interest, not to mention the sweep of the season series

Yeah at this point in the year the Matthews hunt for 60 was the primary reason to watch. Whatever, let's see Mitch get closer to 100 and the leafs finally win 50 games

Thinking on it. Probably a good decision to rest Matthews for a game or two. Even if the injury is just a bruise or banged up body. This Islanders team will play physical tonight. They will do whatever it takes to stay in the hunt, and respectfully so.

Makes sense to rest Muzzin and Matthews till they are in the clear.

That second line PromisedLand posted above looks like its going to be a pain in the ass. Nylanders line is going to be fast. Not sure what to expect but historically teams will step up without star players and surprise people. We have enough still in there to do major damage.

Just run our 4th line at 20 and our top line at 8, makes the most sense I'd say, we clinched a playoff spot.

May as well sit Marner/Matthews.

I didn't say that, but I mean look at Tampa's ice time distribution last night. No forward over 19 minutes. I know they didn't have OT, but that doesn't all account for the 3- 4 extra minutes Matthews and Marner got. Different situations, so whatever, I just think it makes sense to dial down the ice time a bit. Not a big deal.

The way Nylander has been playing away with JT it might be a demotion puting him back there.

They both just play much better away from each other it seems.

Was the game close? Keefe adjusts ice-time based on the score
