This is the final game between the two teams this season. The Buds lead the seasons series 2-0 outscoring the Isles 6-1. Mitch Marner has 3 of the Leafs six goals. On Nov 21st Joseph Woll turned aside 17 shots for his first NHL shutout. On Jan 22nd Petr Mrazek faced 28 shots in the Buds 3-1 decision Zach Parise had the lone Islander tally.

Time for a little spring cleaning!

Wow I knew they were bad but I didn't realize how much. Chara on the top pair and their top scorer has a few more points than Kerfoot.

Rest him up.
Completely agree. As much as I want to see him get 60+, I want to see him as close to 100% for you come playoff time.

For some reason he played 24 minutes against the Sens last night. Smarten up coach.
I can understand your opinion & respect it. However, I have to wonder if this was the plan all along & the ‘injury’ is a strategic excuse.

Me too. Chances are if this is minor he’ll be back in time to still get 60. But yeah playoffs have to be the main focus at this stage.

Watching the Islanders play against any team is an absolute recipe for curing your insomnia if that’s something that ails you. I was going to watch because I generally watch every Toronto Maple Leafs game during the regular season and playoffs, but since Matthews isn’t going to play, then I’ll probably make better use of my time than falling asleep every two minutes.

Just for kicks, I watched the Islanders play against Montreal in Price’s first game back, talk about a snoozefest. The Islanders had like 11 shots on goal through the first two periods.

Anyway, I do hope Toronto breaks their regular season wins record with 50 and 106 points in the standings, get that home ice advantage.

Night all.
