After the game, Wahlstrom said he’s only fighting Swedes going forward. The Swedish Ambassador to Canada files a formal protest and Trudeau gets another booster shot to show solidarity with Broberg.
Beau gets punked by a woman claiming to be Anna Kendrick and he’s disappointed for not scoring on consecutive days.
Edmonton’s press corps, noting Dobson’s 6 goals, insists Bouchard’s 6 assists are just as worthy. The -9 is blamed on bad puck luck. They also claim a re-do of the draft would show Bouchard again drafted ahead of Dobson. Dobson wears his Memorial Cup rings on his middle fingers and shows them off.
Kailer Yamamoto and Dylan Holloway are offered even up for Alexander Barkov, but Florida GM Zito tries to say no, but can’t stop laughing. Elliot Friedman calls it ‘only a rumor I heard’ after trying to justify the trade. Barkov buys Zito a Maserati to play if safe. Rangers GM Drury tweets that his offer of Kravtsov and a 3rd for Barkov will remain ‘on the table’ until accepted, since it’s the Blueshirts birthright to any player they want.
Barzal scores the hat trick and 3 assists, and the Vancouver press has a party to celebrate their likely UFA signing in the summer of 2028. In 2027, Barzal tells them “Not with that GM”. Vancouver asks Garth Snow to intercede, but Garth is bedridden ever since he bought the Dunkin’ Donut franchise next to the Medical Marijuana store in Seattle. Garth was last heard exclaiming “Party on Wayne” in multiple languages.
