Only really makes sense if you've seen the movie, I guess. And even still, why are the Canes the Dark Elves?

Especially considering Datsyuk looks the most like an alien on these two teams.

I just assumed more would have seen the movie. The Marvel movies are popular. And we are the Dark Elves because they lose and we lose. Makes sense to me. And with all the Swedes on Detroit typically, wouldn't they make more sense to be the Asgardians with the whole Norse God connections?

But if either team had to be the "ancient race bent on bringing darkness to the universes", I don't think Carolina fits that description.
