It's been a while since Hockey Canada built their team around the 12 best forward/6 best Dman philosophy. What they do now is pick 3-4 guys identify them as their "stars" then stack the team with "toolsy" guys to surround them.

I honestly didn’t pay much attention.. is this how the 4 nations cup team built too?

I think college would really have been best for him; he's a really great prospect, but I think the NHL would be too fast for him currently.

He's faster than Corey Perry. Similar player to me.

Caufield and Hutson were not playing a lot, Suzuki, I don't remember. But there is a difference between meh and atrocious, which Cowan is.

They use the same principle more or less. They are very high on the "known-duo" idea at that level, if a duo of F or D do well in the NHL they are likely to end up on TC roster.
