I believe they get Sweden, who defeated them 4-2 in the group stage.
The top 2 teams from each group made it to the Semi-finals. It's also the same 4 teams from last year.

TSN better go all in on Hockey Canada. This loss is on them and not the players. We had the talent and potential, management willingly choose not to put the most talented team

Seriously though this years version of team Canada just wasn't very good and seemed very poorly coached as well. Oh well back to watching the NHL.

They had 1/3 of a top line and he only got top line minutes, 30 minutes into the QF

Back to back years with quarterfinal and uninspired group play. To go into this tournament where we are hosting and knowing the issues and not addressing them is malpractice. When NHL teams are reportedly not happy with how this roster was selected, you know they screwed up

We deserved to lose, at no point after the Finland game did we look like a legit contender. What is worse is that the coaching staff stood by, canceled practices and basically said it was up to the players to change things.

I got disgusted once Canada lost to Latvia and stopped watching since. Only found out about tonight’s outcome from reading X. Looking forward to all the dirty laundry that may come out of this.
