I just, i just cant…. I cant read any more about the leadership team in charge of this team

Cant do anything, wouldnt change a thing, its beyond maddening. Taxpayer money paying morons and hush money

Disgusting

Over this tournament this yr. I gotta avoid so i dont read this crap, for my own sanity
The straight up lack of accountability is disheartening to see. At least accept what happened and that things could have been done differently. Such ignorance only works if you win, not when your team massively underperformed.

Gibson getting death threats. Mental midgets can't even get the targets right. The refs, Cameron and the Canada GM are the right targets if you are stupid enough to m ake threats.

Holly shit I so want Gibraltar to win it all someday. :D

It reminds me of how of how the NHL started out in Montreal with an Irish team, an English team and a Scotish team. Then they eventually added the Canadiens as a "French" team. Just imagine if all these teams had remained intact during all these years and there would still be here today. (Let's say the Fighting Leprechauns, the Reds and the Whiskey Drinkers)
Habs, Maroons and Bulldogs?

Also, Lord Stanley and his cup are from England, haha.

Will Canada ever learn? Everytime they tried to win International tournament with grinders instead of having as many offensive players as possible they failed. It does not work. They just dont get it

It only worked when they had so much talent that they could cherry pick and get grittier players who still had talent. But the talent is not that impressive nowadays.

The main issue is the deve;opmentt across the board and lack of inscriptions.

Semi-final Day!

3:30 PM: Sweden vs Finland. This should be a great game. I'm hoping for a Finnish win. Rimpinen has been fantastic.

7:30 PM: USA vs Czech Republic. I expect a US win.
Let's go Sweden. Let's see Bergqvist win gold.

Hockey Canada is solely to blame for the garbage product. They invited Cameron so if he was no good that is there fault. Everyone at Hockey Canada should be tarred and feathered. Let's get new blood in there.

Not a fan of ''role players'' in a best on best tournament. Bring the most gifted guys every time. As if a Crosby or McDavid couldn't play PK or defend a lead. They might not do it in their respective clubs but not because they can't but because a club season is long and grueling and you want your best to stay fresh. Sure bring maybe 1 D and 1 forward who are the "responsible" kind but not more than that.

Needless to say I do not like that approach at all. I've seen it backfire so many times in different team sports. Galaxy brain syndrome.
I don't mind a role player or maybe even two but man it felt like we had six.

I'd say they should hire a full time management team and a coach who aren't actively working for a CHL team in a big capacity. It's a bit unreasonable to expect a coach or GM will put forward enough time and focus on the WJC team when they have their own team to oversee. A full time management and coaching team can scout, develop a game plan and establish a set culture for a team to be in.

It's about balance and Hockey Canada didn't find the right mix. I think you do need glue guys but when so many are slotted higher in the lineup, it exposes everyone. We see it with the habs, when Laine is out, everyone down the lineup has to play a role they aren't the best equipped for.

Let's not totally forget the context here.

We could have played Connor Bedard, Zach Benson and Macklin Celebrini.

Then what? 10-1?

The top of the lineup is what creates a large variance.

Then if you have a guy like Celebrini, you can invite someone like Sennecke.
And have lines like...

Benson - Bedard - McKenna
Ritchie - Celebrini - Sennecke
Cowan - Yager - Martone
Nadeau - Catton - Howe

You can always invite a guy like Sennecke. Like i don't pretend to watch those kids in junior a lot. I mean i watch the u20 and the memorial cup and a i go to a few Remparts games and that's about it. I'll watch a few highlights videos from other tournaments/playoffs games but nothing more than that. But watching Pinelli in this tournament i was confused as to why he was invited. He's small and honestly not very good offensively.

3-2 Finland after 2.

Bergqvist with an assist on the Swedish 1st goal.
It's kind of funny that Bergqvist a strictly defensive dman has now as many points as any Canadian player.
