I don't think Cowan should ever play for TC ever again..........that was an awful game for him last night......brutal in fact.
I can't believe that we've had players like Steve Downie who were far more disciplined when they put on the jersey than some of these clowns.
I'm used to Canada taking penalties on hard hits but the petty shit this team takes penalties for is selfish and unacceptable.
We are already handicapped with a sketchy roster we can't have a lack of discipline on top of that.

Canada deserves quick elimination.
Is the US passing Canada in developing better young players?

Yes for a number of years now.
The wins we've managed over recent years has been more about will than talent we rarely have the most talent on the ice.
I can only imagine the results would be worse if we had a Russian team participating.

The talent pool is slowly eroding Soccer Basketball Football and even Baseball are better more affordable options.
My Dad managed to put 6 boys into hockey from Atom through to Juniror.
I'm not sure he could afford to put even one of his kids through today and keep food on the table for the others.

Parekh, Cristall.
Parekh , Sennecke , Hage were a no brainer. They scratched Martone for a second game as well lol oh and Pinelli on the team? Hilarious

I mean put Benson/Bedard/Celebrini in that team and it’s whole different game. Even if they add Will Smith

There is no scenario where those NHL teams let any of them go, they have nothing to prove and are vital to the NHL clubs at this point. Benson perhaps, but meh

Is Hage eligible next year?
Yes, he is. He only turns 19 in April. Koivu probably makes it for Finland next year. He's had injury problems this year & just got back, which is why he's not on the team.

If you want to know whether a coach has lost control of the locker room, this is a good sign

What a stupid comment. He's the coach he's supposed to be managing/coaching these kids. It sounds like they rule the roost instead.

The argument was that the talent pool is eroding. It isn't. The top players are so good they are already in the NHL

It's always been like this, and the talent used to be there to replace the young stars in the NHL. They took a team of plumbers and did not take the best players , this is becoming a habit and a problem. We have done poorly and it's a watered down tourney without Russia anyways

So a disciple of Marc Bergevin's School of Hockey Management. The players have to figure it out by themselves we'll do jack shit about it.

Can we fire Cameron and put Sylvain Favreau Head Coach ?
I'd replace him by Sylvain Lefebvre if i could. And any regular here knows how much i hate Sylvain Lefebvre as a coach.

We used to have enough high end skills to select role players who should not be there. The gap between us and others (not russia) used to be bigger. Now we are still dominant. McJesus is Canadian. Bedard is Canadian. McKinnon is Canadian. McKenna is Canadian. Makar is Canadian. Many Americans still choose the CHL route for their development. But we are not Gretzky/Lemieux/Sakic/Yzerman/Bourque/Pronger/,,, dominant. It's much much closer now and we don't have the luxury to invite the Rob Zamuner of this world anymore and get away with it. We need better selectors who can identify talent who can play a role instead of inviting a role player.

Really impressed by Cole Hutson to be honest. Kid is a steal at 43. As somebody said...he's kinda of eating Buium alive right now.....

I did have Hutson in the 1st round...there's just no reason why he fell that much.
I kept thinking about if we should take another Hutson. Size is a factor but God damn could you imagine rolling out both all the time? Imagine if he was a RD.

We didn’t have the luxury of being Rob Zamuner back then either….

Like his brother Lane. Size is the answer.
