Incredible defense? We played Latvia Germany and Finland. If they shut down and keep the u.s. to the perimeter that would be incredible.

Canada has allowed 2 goals against in 3 games including a 5-minute OT period and half the country is on suicide watch. They'll get the offense going. How many posts did they hit tonight?

Howe shouldn't be there either, there were better choices than Beaudoin, Martone, Pinelli (although he's the most deserving so far)... When your best players are Cowan and Ritchie, you should sound the alarm. No PP specialist on the back end, Parekh should 100% be there. Goalies are great though

Oh well, hopefully they ice a better team next season lol
I disagree on Parekh though, he is a turnovers machine under pressure, he would have been exposed big time in this tournament and cost some goals against. I watched alot of Misa this year and Parekh is an adventure, he can make great offensive plays, but some ugly ones too, kid is simply not stable and reliable enough defensively at this point IMO. He will surely make the team next year, but if he doesnt work on his weaknesses and fix some issues, people will be all over him.

Happy for Carter Gorges, he earned his SO, great showing from him, but the lines need to be shuffled, cant see TC going very far the way it goes.

Toronto
2 games today:

1 PM: Slovakia vs Kazakhstan. A win in regulation by Slovakia clinches 3rd place for them.

3:30: Germany vs Latvia. Germany needs to win this in regulation if they want to avoid the relegation game.

You can shelter Parekh and give him lots of PP time, there's no PP QB right now, it's a risk I'd be willing to take

Yup and he's the only one back there that can beat a goaltender clean with his shot from what I've seen.
The one time they set him up properly he rang the iron and the tender is still looking for it.
I don't think much of the volume of inoffensive shots from Easton Cowan and even McKenna.
Or Bonk although he did score on one.

George was good. Rest of team is lucky to get the W. They don't have a chance against US or Sweden in this tourney.
Why not? Canada dominated Finland. US didn't. I've seen this movie many times before where Canada fights through round robin adversity and comes through.
