Last time Cameron coached Team Canada to gold, the team wasn't particularly good either in the qualifying rounds though they found ways to eeked out wins. They can always get better in the elimination round with the talent available, but this year you can feel Team Canada paying the price for their hubris.

Canada vs Czechia
Sweden vs Latvia

It should be noted that the Czech Republic kicked Canada out of the tournament in last year's QF. Repeat?

It's mostly a badly run team. I mean Sennecke was drafed 3rd overall and will not represent Canada because he was not taken twice. Either Anaheim made a very bad pick or Team Canada selectors are drunk.

i thought Sennecke was picked early at the time, but Sennecke is the exact type of player who thrives at the WJC.

James Duthie just called them "idiotic penalties". That's actually harsh for TSN as they're normally protective of Team Canada kids.

An Oshawa fan would know better, but Sennecke and Ritchie would have chemistry.

There isn’t much chem up front.

Canada almost always has that ‘thrown together’ look against USA; bc Amerks have played together more.

Misa’s sniping would have been great to have…Parekh would have helped the PP.

Can still get gold, but McKenna, Ritchie and Luchenko have to deliver on O.

Considering the talent we have avaliable not picked and the fact this tournament is in our nation's capital, this is simply a disaster and there is no sugar coating it.

HF boards could probably pick a team out of the players who didn't make team Canada or didn't even get an invite and beat this years Canadian team.
