Staying in the West, I hear the Kings are desperate to shake things up to give themselves the best shot of getting out of the first round of the playoffs and not suffer another defeat against Edmonton.

Quinton Byfield isn't a name we've heard come up in trade rumours until this week, but suddenly he could be in play. Perhaps he is the player Los Angeles can move to change their look for an opening playoff round.

Yes, he was responsible for a month of rabid AZ fans harassing us & ultimately RT blocking me. Wonder what his position on Durzi vs Chychrun is now.

With Kopi retirement on the horizon, targeting a center for the next large trade would make some sense. Wonder if Elias Petterson or Lindholm might be available as under performing their contracts. Petterson is very pale & could be suffering from Seasonal effective disorder, SAD. Get him in CA & some sun, might turn him around. Lindholm has been struggling with Coyote & Zacha at C. Get him some support with 55&24 & he may rebound.

Yeah, at the time they thought it was a steal getting him in that trade. He looked promising, but as you said, never took the next step.

Gonna be f***ing pissed if they trade Clarke away for a short term rental, but the way management develops prospects he'd probably thrive and solidify his career elsewhere. Not sure I can bear another Faber situation. If anyone should get traded it ought to be Drew, they played just fine without him most of the year. Either way, I won't be attending games in person until Blake, Luc, and Bergevin are all relieved of their positions.

A solid plan would be dumping Doughty in the off-season. 7 team trade list? There are GM's that'll be all over it.

Provorov money goes to Gavrikov.

Doughty money less 2--5 million goes to a forward. Maybe combine that with Moore's cap hit for a good forward.

Add a 4-6 million shutdown D.

Being down 11AAV on the cap all season is dumb because Doughty went to line up Pearson in preseason & whiffed. He busted his butt to get back for 4 nations & so he can hang out with his bestie 97. Now just taking games off because Brady whooped his butt.

Maybe Doughty missed the game because he's being held out for a trade!!!!

Don't see how you give Gavrikov a raise (8.5?) & have Doughty making 11 & still ice a competitive team. It would be the same roster plus about 5 million for two extra forwards & 14 needs a raise.
