That shit is exactly why I get so frustrated with this dumbass sport.

He had that strike zone literally all night except for the most important AB of the game in the top of the inning.

Be. Consistent.

Cora gotta go. Loading the bases with Kelly’s control issues is criminally stupid
Eh I don't mind this call.

Put their hottest hitter on and deal with the guy who is 0-5 on the night, even with Kelly's control.

If umo was consistent, he gets out of it.

Absolutely question Cora's decision to PH Wong for David Hamilton earlier in the game when you had to bring Narvaez in anyways.

My counterpoint to that is we just called him up from Worcester where he has allowed 15 walks in 12 innings

If the ump was consistent Romy wouldn’t have been called out on strikes, Kelly still would have walked the guy. The pitch wasn’t a strike and it wasn’t called a strike all game (until the Romy at bat)

100% agree on pinch hitting Hamilton instead of Narv. It’s crazy behavior, he got lucky once when he pinch hit Nunez for Devers and now he thinks he still has the hot hand 7 years later

I agree that called strike 3 in the 11th was out of the zone, But it was close enough where you can't take that pitch with 2 strikes and put your fate in the hands of the umpire. You gotta at least try to foul that off.

Boston's 10th in MLB (4th in the AL) in called 3rd strikes. That isn't all on the umpires.

Never said it was, I literally referenced one specific instance in umpire inconsistency and that wasn’t even the crux of my point (which was that Cora is bad at his job)

I think we need to talk about Connor Wong because hes been absolutely dog shit this year.

Just trash
If they had any catching depth at all he'd be DFAed by now.

I don't know what happened to him, but he's far.from the player he showed last year. His defense sucks too

Defense is actually grading out pretty well this year, which is a nice change of pace

The problem is he can’t hit his way out of a paper bag anymore

This is the only point you seem to make. It's lazy.
