I'd say you're largely correct but to me the comments from Casas on this particular subject are something that could have an entire organization doing a collective face palm. It's just not what you're looking for the day after this "controversy" struck. I don't think it's too much to ask to have him show some common sense. But then again maybe it is. I sure as hell hope Casas is ready to do the one thing he's good at come opening day. Hit the baseball or look out kid. Better not have a terrible first month or milk another injury.Today is why I despise spring training. Far too long, and far too little actually going on, so every comment, giggle, eye roll, and sideways glance is parsed and over analyzed to the degree the dad of a teenaged girl scrutinizes her prom date.
Like just about 98% of the time, everything we’re worried about today will be resolved by Memorial Day, and a new set of concerns will take their place.

I really don't get all the venom directed at Cassas. Its a little over the top IMHO. He's a gifted talent who's young, and definitely lacks some maturity and media savvy. He's basically Nuke Laloosh........hardly a douchebag or a nutcase. He could benefit from a little more veteran mentorship. As could the rest of these kids coming up...
I feel like yelling at him. What the f*** have you done kid? Lol.I just don't like Casas. From this comment to the time Fox asked him a simple question and he rambled for ten minutes, to his mental rehearsal swings while recovering from injury incredibly slowly, there is a pattern here. He is vain to the point of being egomaniacal. This is hardly unheard of among baseball players, but this kid takes it to a pretty serious extreme.

I don't want to hear from the Tristan Casas people. Not a word. He is just an epic toolbag.
lol. I don't know if I give Casas even that much credit, but you just might be right lolol.Sounds like Tristan heard them asking Devers about first base the other day.![]()
First Bregman, now Youk out. Sox are on a heater. The more Lou Merloni the better.
Good question. I was not a fan of Youk, but they will find another ex-sock to fill in for a few games. I always thought Todd Walker was very good in his short stint, but Nesn never gave him another shot.Lou is miles better than Youk, but I definitely liked Youk more than most here and wonder who will do the games Lou doesn’t?
Devil you know, kind of situation.
