No overt standouts in the 1st, but I liked Martone. Big player, good puck protection, makes smart passes.

Murtagh felt like the only American who was able to create anything on his own. I'll keep an eye on him.

Could try a trade up too, we have picks to spare and as I’ve said, I’m not impressed with the depth of this draft.
Certainly a possibility. They haven’t been shy about using the arsenal of picks to get up the board (Vanacker, tried with Moore and got him anyway).

That’s a big package you’d be looking at to get high enough for Lakovic. Especially since the Toronto pick figures to be a bit later than the ones we’ve gotten from Tampa

I didn't care for what I saw from Misa when I watched him a lot last year. I'll have to watch him closely again this year, but I think I'd prefer Schaefer with our pick if I had the choice as of right now.

I haven't seen much of Hagens or Martone yet, but I should probably start watching them the way our season is going.
