HF Habs: Out of Town Thread: 2025 Playoff edition

Skinner is the anti Hellebuyck. He sucks when there is no pressure and hes elite out of nowhere when it matter the most
Yet he let in a pretty weak goal in game 7 last year. A goalie's performance shouldn't be like playing Russian roulette. That you are either safe or you lose your head.

Same as game 1, until Skinner started doing Skinner things

Edm will blow Stars out if this series is played 5-on-5 - Stars don't have the team pace to keep up
I was thinking about how spoiled Edmonton have been with these great skating teams over recent years.
I hope the Habs opt for this type of approach as we replace some of our turtles.

Jason Robertson is worse. He can score 40 in a season only to barely move the needle in the playoffs.

Duchene has also performed poorly for the Stars in the playoffs. Too many of their star players just turn into passengers.
Maybe that makes Stars think twice before resigning Duchene. I'd sign him in MTL, not for his playoff performances anyhow.

There’s for sure no McDavid & Draisatil in the system but the prospects all have pace.

Even in Laval’s loss Beck was flying out there, Redenbacher has good flow to his game, Hage as well.

Gallagher & Armia will be replaced w faster assets, now will they possess some of the other acumen? I don’t know

It would be sensational if Habs were able to convert both 1st rounders this year into home run top-6 / top-4D prospects

Duchene is like Dubois. A talented player that can take over games but that can't be bothered to care enough most of the time.

It's impossible but teams would benefit if they could only give short term contracts to those kind of players. Just to keep them motivated and hungry because they need to earn their next pay day.

Has the dude ever got anything right?
I’m guessing no lol

He posted a photo of the Utah logo/name a few hours in advance lol saying « on est pluggé » …top level

Still getting shared a whole bunch, some weird circlejerk with these internet hockey people sometimes.

I just looked at the goalies with the best Goal Against Average so far. Andersen and Bobrovsky are 1 and 2. Oettinger 6th....and Skinner way down at 14th lol. One rank above Dobes.

I think the Panthers are just a horrible matchup for the Canes. They basically play the same style but Florida is just more talented. But that Canes forecheck and everyone buying in would have given the Leafs fits.
If Stolarz was in net leafs beat Carolina and mediocre Andersen. With Woll probably not.

The whole Stars lineup have meh stats in playoffs if you compare to their regular season stats. Only one with strong playoffs stats is Rantanen but he has done it with BigMac. But hockey is a team sports and their lineup is stacked from top to bottom.
