Martin scored a pair and added a beauty assist for a three-point game and eight points in his last two.

Soo 6 Sudbury 3.

Martin was the best player on the ice.

Plus 21 on the season and the next best guy is a plus…1 on the team.

If Habs can’t make magic and get in on the six pack Martin would be a great choice.

He’s still everywhere, hitting and disrupting, with excellent PK work.

Now the points are coming w/o sacrificing the fine D work.

49 GP… 29-30-59

No floating in this farm boy’s game but he can be mean…and that’s…o-kay.

He dashed all the way back to rob a Wolve outside the crease who was about to bury one.

Hannibal is right. Habs certainly need this kind of player.
A fan met Bobrov not long ago and he said Bobrov talked to him about Martin and how he likes him.

Doesn’t mean anything at all but it shows they have an interest in him at least.

Agree that we lack a Martin type in our pool. I saw him in London a few weeks ago and he was similarly the best player on the ice, even though he only walked away with the 3rd star of the night. He absolutely punishes guys.

He has some Doug Gilmour in him, for sure, he genuinely reminds me of him quite a lot. I wish his skating was a tad more dynamic, but he's gotten much better at it this season and I'm confident he can still improve it some more.

Mrtka will go top 5. I mean....if the RD need is what it is.....he has to be. And frankly, for me, it's not even about that. It's about him being a BPA at that point.

Schaefer / Hagens / Misa /.....Mtka as soon as 4? McQueen will fall due to injury concerns. Then you have Martone and Frondell.

I would be shocked if he went top-5, but to your point theres always a player that rockets into the top-5. Usually it's a RD or a center. For me my thought of the surprise top-5 pick this year is Desnoyers (maybe not so much a surprise anymore, but I think the first time I said this was in December). Maybe it is Mrtka.

with the emergence of O’Brien, Martin, Mrtka I know feel more comfortable holding two picks that will likely fall in the 8 to 18 range.
