Remember literally a few weeks ago when people were claiming Hagens is on the same level as Celebrini? He has 1 goal in 12 games. How can anyone justify ranking this smurf 1OA let alone compare his potential to Macklin?

My least fav of the 'big four' so far.

The only reason he's still getting pigeonholed at the top lists are his U17s and the USNTDP productivity on his resume, which were awesome tbf, but it's hard not to feel... underwhelmed. It's not like he's been a liability or anything but maybe we were spoiled and expected a little bit too much for him to follow directly in the footsteps of Eichel, Fantilli and Celebrini's draft seasons as college freshman.

Schaefer aside, I don't see how you could ledger Hagens' D0 alongside Misa's and still vouch the smaller, older and significantly less productive (NHLe) center.

Would prefer Martone to him as well.

alot of people have said Hagens >> Celebrini and quoted D-1 stats as if Hagens isnt the same birth year as Celebrini
Nobody on this forum was saying that though. No reason to grandstand here.

Hagens is still a really good prospect. He just happens to play with the greatest puck hog in the NCAA.

Yet Smith got plenty of goals next to that puck hog.

I think the real argument is if Smith is better than Hagens. I would vote Smith.
