Golf: 2025 Masters Tournament

Rory coming in with maybe the best pre-Masters form of his life. Could this be the week? (yeah probably not)

JT feels like a candidate to break out after coming so close recently. Worth remembering, as I've said a bunch of times in the past, that his major record is horrible. Only ever contended in two majors... won them both.

The big question on my mind this week: Phil vs Angel Cabrera, who you got?

Sleeper pick: Sepp Straka.

I've thought a lot about it, and I feel this is Rory's year.

I keep trying to convince myself out of it, but that's what I'm arriving at.

If not this year, I will predict it never happens. This feels like the best chance he'll ever get.

I know the general reaction to a team sport athlete convicted of domestic violence is they are cut/released ETC.....but what about an individual?

Cabrera spent over 2 years in jail and was convicted for violence towards 2 different women.

I don’t give a damn about this guy. I’m sick of hearing of this dude, idk why he’s any kind of storyline.

His chances of winning or even contending in the tournament are infinitesimal.

Let him meddle in irrelevancy at he battles to make the cut line and talk about better things

To be honest, he actually won on the Champions Tour last week. He may win “low Old” this year.

But yeah, I totally get your point and don’t disagree with the main idea.

Obviously you want a good tournament with drama on Sunday but in terms of outcome, personally, I'd like to either see McIlroy complete the slam or Aberg breakthrough in a big way.

Fred Couples still has it at The Masters. Shoots a -1 71. Hoping he can do it again tomorrow. He's got one the sweetest swings in the game. Oh and 65 years young

Sorry just saw this was posted above me

Going for the green on 15 today looks like a poison pill... lots of guys rolling off the front edge into the drink, including Rory.

He missed the green from the drop zone after too. Plus you can get weird downhill lies down near there when you have to layup. No one's laying up from the middle of the fairway.

Just miscalculated the pitch off the back of the green. Patrick Cantlay put 2 in the water off the back of the green too.

Minus 4 in the middle of the fairway on 15…

2 doubles now
Back to even par

No champion has made multiple double bogeys and won in last 40+ years.

Looks like his tournament is probably over now

Rory needs to move on from his caddy. Rory needs to ask himself would anyone else higher his caddy? not likely, and rory hasn't won a major in a decade. An experienced caddy likely gets him two more majors by now, the U.S. open last year and the British Open in 2022.

I just don't get it. I don't think 15 really changes, but 17 was a mental error and a half. You could tell he looked defeated after 15. He left at least 5 shots out there today.

Looking at Bryson Dechambeau's second round after 10 holes. He's 4 under for the day but the only reason is that he keeps making miraculous pitches and putts to save pars or make birdies. I wonder if he can continue this?
