Man, it's like you guys are picking right off my list. The last 5 picks were all among my top targets.

I think Elijah Neuenschwander is one of the best goalies in this draft, wouldn't be surprised to see him go much earlier on draft day.

I think this is one if the best drafts for goaltenders in a long time and i hope that Edmonton takes at least one or two in the draft in June.

At this point I think you guys are just making up names. No way Elijah Neuenschwander is real. His name wouldn't even fit on the back of a jersey.

Next up I'm drafting Femzisdoor Trornetvumro.

It's all a part of my plan to secure his brother in the near future 🤫 but actually I was happily surprised to see him still available when I picked.

With the 169th overall pick the Pittsburgh Penguins select RW - Blake Vanek

nz_mens_player_62747.jpg

  • Team: Chicago Steel (USHL)
  • Height/Weight: 6'4", 205 lbs
  • Shoots: Right
  • Playing Style: Vanek is a big-bodied, goal-scoring winger who thrives on physical play and net-front presence. He has a wicked shot and the size to develop into a power forward at the next level
  • Offensive Ability: His shot is his biggest weapon, capable of beating goaltenders cleanly from distance. He has shown flashes of high-end scoring ability but remains raw in his overall offensive execution
  • Defensive Strengths: Vanek is engaged defensively, using his reach and physicality to disrupt plays. His ability to pressure puck carriers and battle along the boards adds value in his own zone
  • Skating & Transition: His skating is a work in progress, but he has the power to push through defenders and drive to the net. His ability to find open space and capitalize on scoring chances makes him a dangerous offensive presence
  • Areas for Improvement: Needs to increase his consistency, as his impact varies from shift to shift. His decision-making under pressure and ability to process plays quickly could also improve to maximize his offensive potential
