2025 HFOil Mock Draft - WAS OTC 3:00PM

Is there a penalty for drafting a player that doesn’t get drafted?
I believe it’s total prospects drafted - the pick # you selected your prospect = value for the undrafted prospect

You go deeper in the red if you select an undrafted prospect, say in the second round instead of the seventh round :shakehead

At least that’s what I remembered.

The rule of thumb is an undrafted prospect gets drafted 225th overall....which is actually a bonus because there will be upwards of 50 players drafted in our draft who won't get picked in the actual draft, so the "penalty" should be much higher, but this is just for fun, and the OB award is awesome, but I don't know about the rest of you, the goal is being right 15 years from now, not at the draft table this June. How many of you go on draft boards on this site and rip GM's for getting it wrong? So why grade yourself off of comparing to them as if they were right?

I might not be alive in 15 years!

I should go back and see how many of my draftees are leading their team in scoring today.

I went back and looked at my previous drafts and wish they were erased when the server crashed. :sarcasm:

A very interesting case study. According to somewhere(I think his HF prospect page) he only had 10 points in his last 25 games, 3 being empty net goals and 5 against a bad Halifax team. Question is, and this is where the real scouts have the advantage, was he hurt, something else going on that affected his play? Snakebitten, etc. He was pretty solidly a 2nd rounder at the mid-way point of the season.

He checked off two boxes for me that got him highlighted on my list: BU commit & signs of truculence. I'm a sucker for bullies and Terriers.
