The Boston Bruins go back to the Sherwood Park Crusaders (BCHL) and select Jeremy Loranger.

Could Edmonton be interested in Loranger as a late round pick?
In our backyard.
Kalle Larsson had him with Dubuque in '23-'24.
Bowman is like a moth attracted to the bright light of top scorers in their respective leagues.

The Kings pick Magaomed Sharakanov from Dynamo Moscow of the KHL, despite his fake sounding name he's real and an interesting draft +2 guy worth a late round gamble.

This is one of the more interesting picks in the draft. I hope he’s a guy the oilers target with one of their late picks. Mobile puck mover with good KHL production

With the 201th overall pick the Pittsburgh Penguins select RW - Travis Hayes.

HayesTravis.Cr_.Luke_.Durda_.OHL_.Images-scaled-e1717229010425.jpg

  • Team: Soo Greyhounds (OHL)
  • Height/Weight: 5'11", 175 lbs
  • Shoots: Right
  • Playing Style: Hayes is a shoot-first winger who thrives on speed and quick decision-making. He plays an up-tempo, north-south game with flashes of creativity, making him a dangerous offensive presence.
  • Offensive Ability: He recorded 21 goals and 30 assists for 51 points in 65 games, ranking top-five on his team in every major offensive category. His high-end shot and release allow him to score from medium and high-danger areas, making him a legitimate power-play threat.
  • Defensive Strengths: Hayes is a responsible three-zone winger, logging over a minute per night on the penalty kill. His ability to anticipate breakout routes and disrupt passing lanes makes him a valuable defensive asset.
  • Skating & Transition: A high-motor skater with the speed to separate from defenders. His hockey IQ and offensive reads off the puck allow him to position himself effectively and arrive with speed.
  • Areas for Improvement: Needs to increase his physical engagement, as he sometimes struggles in puck battles against stronger competition. His decision-making under pressure could also improve to maximize his offensive potential.
