Looking WAY WAY WAY ahead to the possibilities of the 2025 Entry Draft...

Chicago could potentially have FOUR first rounders, two seconds, third, two fourths, sixth and a seventh...

How this could happen is as follows...

If NYRangers make it to Eastern Conference this year the Hawks will receive a top 10 protected 1st for the 2024 draft instead of a 2nd in this years draft, so if the Rangers boom out next year it would become an unprotected 2025 1st

If Tampa Bay continues its downward cycle and finishes next season bottom ten their 2024 protected 1st would move to another unprotected 2025 1st

Hawks have Toronto’s top 10 protected 1st from the McCabe-Lafferty trade and of course their 2025 1st

Wouldn’t it be great if EVERYTHING comes together? Hawks win 2023 draft lottery and select Connor Bedard, have a great rest of draft picking 20th, 35th, 44th, 52nd, 67th, 89th, 99th...have a modest 2024 draft with 8 picks and then pick...wait for it...1st and 2nd and overall(NYR, TB) plus two more times in the 2025 draft! Wow!

Would rather have the NYR 24 1st.

3 1s in 24 would be great. (Chicago, Tampa and potentially NYR)

Have to agree with you there. Even for rebuilding teams, you want 1st round picks sooner rather than later. I'll take the 3 1st rounders in 2024 over 2025. Hockey is all about time value of assets.

Best case scenario

Rangers 2024 1st + We pick up some 1st this summer or next taking on a bad contract and end up with three 2025 1st rounders

I also hope Hawks can pry a 1st for this years draft somehow

Having 12 1st round picks over Davidson's first 4 years should certainly help rebuild effort

Honestly its years out but what are big names for this draft?

Bedard name has been around as potential #1 for a few years now and I remember talk of Shane Wright for years in leadup to that draft (Which for Mr Wright did not go as he thought it would)

Misa is the early favorite for that draft class.

We're drafting 32nd overall that year, calling it now!

James Hagens USNTP with his November 2006 birthdate is also at the top of the 2025vdraft and could give Misa a run for #1 overall ..
