Who was getting Pasta the puck this season?
Until Elias Lindholm started turning his game around Pasta drove his line himself but that's just too much to keep asking/expecting of him, as great as he is.

The Bruins have a need at center sure, but picking a center in the draft just because you need one isn’t necessarily the right move if there is a better wing available.
Whoever they take in the draft is likely 1-2 years away anyways, and when they do break in will likely start on the second or third line. So the effect this will have on Pastrnak for example isn’t immediate and therefore shouldn’t be treated as such
I would say BPA, but everyone’s BPA is different. I don’t know who they take or what they take. They just need to hit this one. I hope they do
Brady Martin could crush Lindholm and Zacha into the boards at the same time, then bench press them with farm strength.Correct, you are not solving the short term need for the 25/26 season in this June draft Even if they had won the #1/#2 pick it wouldn't have happened. No one is going to come in and be better tan Lindholm/Zacha in 2025
You might be able to bring someone in, who is the #1 center starting in 27 or 28 and for a decade after that. Maybe, if you think a player can be that, then they may pick them. Maybe they think all the Cs are #2s. and maybe they think a wing can drive a top line. If so they might be better off with the wing

.I was in the "need a 1C" camp, but now I'm transitioning to BPA.
Trouble is, no one can really say what these young players' ceilings are. Predicting future-NHLers is an imprecise science.
Its worse than that. We also gave up the most SH goals. If you ask me we've been sorely lacking a Powerplay QB ever since we lost Torey Krug to free agency. If O'Brien can be the type of guy to make that PP run like a well-oiled machine again, that would actually be a PLUS in my eyes.
This past season we had the 30th ranked powerplay out of 32 teams. That's NOT GOOD!

Maybe in 3-4 years down the road, but that would be asking a lot of an 18 year-old forward to be the straw the stirs your drink on the PP. Hell if he was in the NHL next year, it would be a major accomplishment. If you ask me we've been sorely lacking a Powerplay QB ever since we lost Torey Krug to free agency. I agree though I am not saying it isn't a center like O'Brien or Desnoyers.BPA. Simple. We don’t know what can happen in any given season. For all we know the Bruins top line center could be Eichel in 2026-27 season. Take the BPA at 7
Martin a 6ft 178 lb kid, would not be able to move Zacha or Lindholm off the puck yet, he is too small.Brady Martin could crush Lindholm and Zacha into the boards at the same time, then bench press them with farm strength.
Ive seen reports that has had him at 190, either way my money on Martin putting both of them in the second row.Martin a 6ft 178 lb kid, would not be able to move Zacha or Lindholm off the puck yet, he is too small.
Give the kid 2-3 years of proper training and dieting and 20 lbs later, maybe.
I like Eklund... but honestly, I hate the idea of drafting a winger in the top10. I just feel like, where else can you get a #1 center? They're so hard to find, so expensive to trade for, so rarely available as UFA's... If we don't get one now, we're relying on good luck to get one down the line.We have 7 weeks till the draft
Brady Martin will climb a spot a week and go first overall ~ I watched his videos and ready to take at 7
Then I Remembered 2 years ago Nolan Gorman of the Cardinals hit 12 homers and had an OPS about 1100 after 30 games. I fell hard so hard - I traded super star 3B Jose Ramirez for him and Jose Berrios in my APBA baseball league and weep whenever I see Cleveland play.
I’ll take any of the top 6 that sneak thru but then it’s Eklund or O’Brien
Today it’s Eklund
Your top 2 RW are Pastrnak & Eklund
Both scorers
Farm strength!Martin a 6ft 178 lb kid, would not be able to move Zacha or Lindholm off the puck yet, he is too small.

Rangers have a rookie farm kid named Andrew McNeil. They call him lefty. Couple of vets have found out why we call him lefty when they were begging for a right.Farm strength!

I hear you on this. Been on the C wagon for some time. Hopefully they won’t be in a position to draft this high again for a long time.I like Eklund... but honestly, I hate the idea of drafting a winger in the top10. The NHL is WAYYYYY different vs junior hockey.Ive seen reports that has had him at 190, either way my money on Martin putting both of them in the second row.
How many #1 centers do think will be available at #7? If one slips to #7 and you think that player has #1 potential (perhaps Martin, perhaps O'Brien), then yes, you take him.I like Eklund... but honestly, I hate the idea of drafting a winger in the top10. I won't say it's impossible but I think it's unlikely. You think Eklund would start in the NHL next year?
OkThe NHL is WAYYYYY different vs junior hockey.
Brady has not played against physically mature men yet.
He better learn to fight as well and be able to hold his own, if he expects to be throwing his weight around.
Best of luck to him.
