The top is pretty nice. Not a clear number 1 currently, but a strong if unpredictable top 5, and solid top 10-15ish
I do feel it falls off from there, though.
It's also still pretty early. I'm sure these mid rounds will get a little clearer as we get closer

Yeah absolutely. I’m happy the Sharks should have a top 4 pick. I think there’s a drop right after 4 and then like you said sometime in the teens another drop. Normally I can find a couple guys I like around now and they probably will be there by the time the draft rolls around but even looking at McKenzie’s list. So many caveman dmen (big with no offense)

yep, sounds like a Ranger:

Smith’s skating is choppy to the point where it sometimes looks as if he is trying to run on the ice rather than take a stride. He lacks any true speed due to the lack of burst caused by his choppy skating mechanics, putting him at a disadvantage in chase-downs or foot races. Smith struggles to cross over, leading to him being a step late or finding himself out of position when defending. He struggles to recover with his slow speed and instead relies on his body to try and separate a player from the puck. It doesn’t help that Smith lacks discipline. After he does catch up to a player, he will try to finish his check, even if it’s late, resulting in penalty troubles.

Taking character guys instead of skill guys. a true Rangers Tradition.

So you’ve never watched him and came in here with one scouting report that only points out his flaws and none of his strengths and choose to criticize? If you don’t like it join one of these yourself. We are always open to new blood! But I think coming in here and criticizing is not a great look.

I think I'll take the reports of the many scouts who watch him regularly and trust my eye test over 1 persons opinion who's report is written like Smith slept with his wife.

Even the pro scouts where McKenzie gets his reports from have him as a great skater.
