I've had that gnawing sensation, too, with the schedule strength increasing and a full off season to study JD, but I really have faith in our FO to make the additions we need. I really think the trajectory is upward.

TB had us. They tried to be clever instead of taking the obvious thing and paid.

We have the Detroit win clearly, fully, and it was awesome.

I spent the week on the Flyers board assuring them that their coaches will have watched the tape from the last game and realized we have zero answer for Barkley running wide or Brown. It's just a massive talent disparity and there was no coaching plan that could have corrected for it. Last game they squandered it. The only way we could have won was if we didn't let them have the ball, and it was a turnover show. Alas.

Yep, there are smart professionals evaluating our strengths and weaknesses, a decent slate of draft picks, some cap space, and good football minds assessing available options to address our flaws. I'd say it was really 4 plays that killed us today:

The one play TD drive and the 3 TOs.

The score is awful, and the D hasn't been stout, but you can't expect them to fire up when they're constantly taking the field in their own end. Jayden and Ertz played their asses off.

But we honestly don't have the talent and depth across positions to take it all the way.

But who the he'll would've thought that that would be "a hard truth" we'd have to face in the 4th Qtr. Of the NFC Championship? Speaking for myself? Ill take it.

Easy to have a bad taste in your mouth after how bad the game was today, like others have said they fully shot themselves in the foot. It’s very known that our D isn’t up to par, so it becomes imperative to protect the football, and they didn’t. Losing your best players on both lines will never be good, but it’s especially going to hurt against a supremely talented team like the Eagles.

Move forward, get some players, improve the D. We know we have a franchise QB who is showing himself to be one of the best in the league already. They were way ahead of schedule this year, it was a fantastic year outside of the ending. Good things ahead for this franchise.

Was a great season. Beyond what I expected. Probably the most memorable season for me in the 2000s.

They need to fix the defense this off-season. This run defense is one of the worst I have ever seen.

With any regime change a number of players who would be on rookie deals were not retained. The prior 3 firsts for Wash in Davis, Dotson, Forbes were all dumped either before or during the season.
Too big a gap in talent from the longer term bets of Allen, Payne, Scary Terry to their rookie class.
