OT: 2024 Washington Commanders thread: change we can believe in!

It's been said many times this season, but tonight it feels like it bears repeating:

Think about the turn-around that this franchise has made in one year. Sure, it's an 8-game swing and that sounds awesome, but think about how they did it.

They turned from a pack of beaten dogs who expected the roof to cave in every time a raindrop hit it to a team that meets every single obstacle with an attitude of "OK, we just have to overcome it, and we will."

In one season, we went from being surprised when our team clutched up to being surprised on the few occasions they didn't.

In one freaking year. So grateful for Josh Harris, who set the tone from the outset that the days of expecting misery were over; for AP and his FO team, who made smart moves to bring in quality players who are also quality people and teammates; for DQ and his staff, who have bred a belief in the players that they can be good in equal measure to the amount of work they put in; and for a rookie QB who has great big, clanging brass balls that call his teammates to follow his lead.

What a ****ing year!

My game ball goes to Jayden Daniels.

HMs to Terry McLaurin, Dyami Brown, and Zane Gonzalez.

It’s so huge for a young QB to get a PO win like this. Romo botched that snap early in his playoff career, and was forevermore known as a choker (and never won anything).

Winning on the road in your first PO game gives you so much confidence. Clutch play breeds confidence, which breeds more clutch play…
